How do I make Emergency Calls?

To make an emergency call during normal use
Ensure that the handset is switched on and in service.
Press the
key repeatedly to return to the Idle Screen.
Enter the emergency number for the present location using the keypad, (eg 000).
Press the
key to call the number. Follow instructions received and do not end the call until
told to do so.
If the keypad is locked it is possible to dial the Emergency Numbers without having to unlock the
keypad. Press the numbers as required then press the Call key.
Emergency calls can be made without a USIM Card (Phone PIN not required)
When the USIM card is not inserted or registered it is possible to dial the emergency services.
Enter the emergency number and press
• Advise the operator which emergency service you require
• Give your position and remain stationary to get the best coverage
• Due to the nature of the cellular system the connection of emergency calls cannot be
guaranteed
• Never rely solely on any wireless device for essential communications ie. medical emergencies
• The Emergency Number 112 is used internationally.
