Steps 8 through 12 apply only to Compaq Presario R3000 Series
models.
8. Loosen the PM2.5×6.0 captive screw 1 that secures the
memory module compartment cover to the notebook.
9. Lift the left side of the memory module compartment cover
up and swing it to the right 2.
10. Remove the cover.
