Connecting a Keyboard Wedge Interface

The scanner must be connected to the cradle for the host parameter setting to take effect. When the scanner is not
connected to a cradle, and a host parameter bar code is scanned, a long low/long high beep sequence sounds.

To connect the Keyboard Wedge interface Y-cable:
Turn off the host and unplug the keyboard connector.

Attach the modular connector of the Y-cable to the host port on the bottom of the scanner cradle. See

Connect the round male DIN host connector of the Y-cable to the keyboard port on the host device.
3.
Connect the round female DIN keyboard connector of the Y-cable to the keyboard connector.
4.
If needed, attach the optional power supply to the connector in the middle of the Y-cable.
5.
Ensure that all connections are secure.
6.
Turn on the host system.

Select the Keyboard Wedge host type by scanning the appropriate bar code from
