The different functions and uses of the oven The various functions included in the cooker are selected by operating the control devices located on the cooker control panel. The catalytic self-cleaning system Some models have oven liners coated with a porous enamel also known as catalytic enamel. When hot, this enamel destroys all greasy food particles. For this "oxidation" to occur, the oven liners must reach a temperature of at least 170°C. The porosity of the catalytic enamel increases its surface area, thus making the oxidation process more effective.
