Problem
Dryer does not start. y
On indicator light does not illuminate.
Dryer does not start. The selected Start
in time flashes in the display.
The door opens by itself.
Program has been interrupted.
Degree of drying has not been reached
or the drying time is too long. y g g
Before calling customer service,

check the following table.
If a fault cannot be rectified or
a repair is required:
Possible cause
Main plug not inserted at all or not inserted correctly. Insert main plug correctly.
A fuse of power supply has tripped.
Start button not pressed.
No program selected.
Door not closed.
Ambient temperature below 41 °F/5 °C.
The selected time is not saved.
The locked pin is not engaged.
Lint filter dirty.
Exhaust air duct is blocked or too long.
Fault in program sequence or malfunction.
The room/cabinet is not adequately ventilated.
Moisture sensor dirty.
Exhaust air duct is blocked or too long.
Lint filter dirty.
Laundry was too wet.
Unsuitable program selected.
Maximum drying time was exceeded.
Motor limit temperature was exceeded.
1. Set program selector to Off".
2. Turn off the circuit breaker.
3. Unplug the unit.
4. Call customer service
(see page 24).
Remedial action
Replace/switch on fuse.
Press Start button.
Select program.
Close door.
Increase room temperature.
Press the Start button to save the time and to start
counting down.
Push the door closed until you hear the locking pin
click into place.
Clean filter as described on page 22.
Switch off/switch on again.
Clean exhaust air duct. Reduce exhaust air duct to
maximum length, see table on page 10.
Switch off/switch on again.
Switch off dryer, leave to cool down for 30 min,
switch on again.
Restart program.
Provide an adequate supply of fresh air.
Switch off/switch on again.
Clean moisture sensor as described on page 22.
Switch off/switch on again.
Clean exhaust air duct. Reduce exhaust air duct to
maximum length, see table on page 10.
Switch off/switch on again.
Clean filter as described on page 22.
Switch off/switch on again.
Spin laundry at higher speed in the washing
machine. Switch off/switch on again.
Select program with aid of the program selection
table (see page 19). Switch off/switch on again.
Clean lint filter (see page 22).
Check exhaust air extraction.
Spin laundry at a higher speed in your washer.
Switch off dryer, leave to cool down for 30 min.
Switch on again. Start program.
