TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Motion Sensor won't
Link to INSTEON
Responders.
Motion Sensor won't
control Linked
Responders.
The Motion Sensor LED
is flashing rapidly after
motion is detected.
The Motion Sensor LED
is not flashing upon
motion.
Motion Sensor is not
detecting motion.
When motion is sensed,
the Motion Sensor LED
is double-flashing.

Possible Cause
Motion Sensor may be out
of range of the Responder.
Motion Sensor may not
have power.
Motion Sensor may be out
of range of the Responder.

Night-Only Mode and it is

Motion Sensor may not
have received an

Solution
Move a dual-band INSTEON device closer to Motion
Sensor.
Install additional dual-band INSTEON devices to
strengthen the network.
Make sure the Motion Sensor LED flashes to confirm it
has power and is sensing motion. Replace the battery
if necessary.
Move a dual-band INSTEON device closer to Motion
Sensor.
Install additional dual-band INSTEON devices to
strengthen the network.
Disable Night-Only Mode. See Setting the Jumpers.
Adjust the Day/Night Threshold. See Adjusting the
