S1016/1024 use air cooling approach for they just generate a small amount of heat. Keep the switch in good ventilation condition. Do not place one switch on another. -

Otherwise, you will have to take the consequences of your incorrect operations. 2.1.2 Installation Environment The S1016/1024 can be installed in the corridor or inside the room. These issues must be taken into account: There is enough space (more than 10 cm) near the air-intake hole and the ventilation hole of the switch for heat dissipation of the switch chassis. -
