Remove all packaging, but keep it till you know the kettle works. important safeguards Follow basic safety precautions, including: 1 The kettle must only be used by or under the supervision of a responsible adult. Use and store it out of reach of children.

    switching on 10 Put the kettle on the stand – take care not to spill. 11 Plug the stand into a power socket (switch the socket on, if it’s switchable). 12 Press and release the 2 button – this switches on the display and the element. 13 The display will show 99 (flashing), and the kettle will start to heat up.

    general 33 Remove the kettle from the stand before pouring. 34 To avoid the risk of splashing, pour slowly and don’t over-tilt the kettle. 35 Don’t tilt the kettle backwards – water might get on to the control area. 36 If this happens, let the kettle dry before use – sit it somewhere warm for 12 hours. 37 When you lift the kettle, you may see moisture on the stand.
  • Page 6 15 Open the lid. 16 Push the top of the filter down and back, into the kettle, to release the hooks on the top of the filter from the rectangular holes on either side of the spout. 17 Lift the filter out of the kettle, to disengage the bottom hook from the circular hole at the bottom of the spout.

    connection The product must be earthed. It has a 13A BS1362 fuse in a 13A BS1363 plug. To replace the plug, fit the green/yellow wire to E or E, the blue wire to N, and the brown wire to L. Fit the cord grip. If in doubt, call an electrician.
