switching on 10 Put the kettle on the stand – take care not to spill. 11 Plug the stand into a power socket (switch the socket on, if it’s switchable). 12 Move the switch to 1 – the lights round the floor of the kettle will glow, and the kettle will heat up. -

water filter 12 Scale particles suspended in the water may give it a cloudy or greasy appearance. The filter will prevent these particles going into your drink. If you see deposits on the filter, clean it, otherwise the performance of your kettle will drop, your drinks may contain scale, and the water inside the kettle may look cloudy. -

connection The product must be earthed. It has a 13A BS1362 fuse in a 13A BS1363 plug. To replace the plug, fit the green/yellow wire to E or E, the blue wire to N, and the brown wire to L. Fit the cord grip. If in doubt, call an electrician.
