Connecting to
Component Video
Equipment Using a
Component Cable
(INPUT 1 or 2)
Use a component cable when connecting the
component video equipment such as DVD play-
ers and DTV* decoders to INPUT 1 or 2 termi-
nals.
* DTV is the umbrella term used to describe the
new digital television system in the United States.

Connect a component cable to
the projector.

Connect the above cable to the
component video equipment.
Note
• When connecting the projector to the
video equipment in this way, select "Com-
ponent" for "Signal Type" in the "Options"
menu, or select the Component mode by
pressing on the remote control. See
page 69.
• Set the "Resolution" of "Special Modes"
to "480P" during input of a 480P signal.
