Failure to do so may result in damage to the voltage regulator circuit. The processor voltage regulator area (item A in Figure 27) can reach a temperature of up to 85 °C in an open chassis.

The operating temperature, current load, or operating frequency could affect case temperatures. Maximum case temperatures are important when considering proper airflow to cool the Desktop Board D875PBZ.

    ® Intel Desktop Board D875PBZ Specification Update ERRATA Audio Driver Creates a Popping Noise During Operating System Startup The audio jack-sensing feature requires reading the impedance of the device connected to the ROBLEM audio jack. A voltage is needed so a current can be measured, and the impedance is derived from the voltage and current.

  • Page 21 ® Intel Desktop Board D875PBZ Specification Update 1.6.1 MEMORY FEATURES The Desktop Board D875PBZ has four DIMM sockets and supports the following memory features: • 2.6 V (only) 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts • Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction: Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
