Chapter 3 Install Drivers
Pictures below are shown in Windows XP.
Insert the driver CD-title that came with your motherboard into your CD-ROM drive, the driver
CD-title will auto start and show the installation guide. If not, please double click the CD-ROM
device icon in "My computer", and execute the Run.exe.
3-1 Install Chipset Drivers

After insert the driver CD, "Xpress Install" will scan automatically the system and then list all the drivers that
recommended to install. Please pick the item that you want and press "install" followed the item; or you can
press "Xpress Install" to install all items defaulted.
• Please ignore the popup dialog box(es) (e.g. the F o u n d New Hardware Wizard) dis-
played when "Xpress Install" is installing the drivers. Failure to do so may affect the driver
installation.
IOTE
• Some device drivers will restart your system automatically during the driver installation.
After the system restart, "Xpress Install" will continue to install other drivers.
• After the drivers are installed, follow the onscreen instructions to restart your system. You
can install other applications included in the motherboard driver disk.
• For USB 2.0 driver support under the Windows XP operating system, please install the
Windows XP Service Pack 1 or later. After installing the SP1 (or later), if a question mark still
exists in U n i v e r s a l S e r i a l B u s C o n t r o l l e r in D e v i c e M a n a g e r , please remove the
question mark (by right-clicking your mouse and select Uninstall) and restart the system.
(The system will then autodetect and install the USB 2.0 driver.)
