Troubleshooting

Problem
The cooker does not work.

Notes

38
Should a malfunction occur, it is often only due to a
minor fault. Please read the following instructions
before calling the after sales service.
Possible cause
Blown fuse
Power failure
Repairs may only be carried out by fully trained
after sales service technicians.
Incorrect repairs may result in serious injury to the
user.
q When the cooking zones are heating up you will be
able to hear a slight buzzing noise. Individual cook
ing zones glow more brightly than others. These
are normal technical features of this type of hob
and have no effect on the way it works or its qual
ity.
q When the heating element is glowing red and de
pending on the angle at which it is viewed, it could
appear to extend beyond the lines defining the size
of the cooking zone.
q The heating element underneath the cooking zone
is controlled by being switched on and off accord
ing to requirement. When you select a lower heat
setting the heating element is switched off more
frequently, and on a higher setting it is scarcely
switched off at all.
Comments/Remedy
Look in the fuse box and check that the
cooker fuse is in working order.
Check whether the kitchen light
switches on.
