NORMAL REFRIGERATOR NOISES

1. Refrigeration system
The gas coolant can produce gurgling sounds while it circulating round the pipes. At the same
time, the material used for isolating the appliance tends to amplify theses noises.
2. Compressor
This can generate buzzing and/or slight rattling.
3. Materials
Due to the different types of materials used in the construction of the appliance, clicking souds
are produced by the various dilations and contractions.

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A PROBLEM

A problem need not mean there is a fault. To avoid calling out the SERVICE CENTRE unnecessarily
check whether your problem appears in the chart below:
PROBLEM
Appliance not working at all
Vibration and rattle
Higher than normal temperatures
Water at the bottom of the fridge
The compartments are smelly
Light not working
Excessive ice in freezer compartment

POSSIBLE CAUSE
- Plug not in.
- No supply.
- Controls 1 and 6 not switched on
(figure 5).
- Appliance not level.
- Thermostat set low.
- Doors not closing porperly.
- Condenser clogged
- Inadequate ventilation
- Defrost water outlet is blocked
- Badly wrapped food
- Compartments dirty
- Bulb has fused or may be loose
- Door not properly closed

WHAT TO DO
- Check the connection
- Check the mains supply, fuses, etc.
- Operate the controls.
- Level using the levelling feet. (figure 4)
- Set the thermostat higher
- Check the doors for closure and seals
- Clean the condenser.
- Check the bottom grille and the rear air
outlet (figure 3)
- Clean the outlet (figure 6)
- Check the food
- Clean the interior.
- Check the bulb and if necessary
replace (figure 7)
- Check the door closure and seal.
