INSTALLATION

Before installing

- Take everything out of the PACKING CASE.
- If you plan to REHANG the doors, do it
now. See the instructions.
- It is advisable to CLEAN the appliance
inside and out before starting.
Always use NON-ABRASIVE products
and avoid the use of SOLVENTS.

Levelling

The appliance has two rear CASTORS to aid
moving and positioning.
Level the appliance by adjusting the
LEVELLING FEET located at the bottom front
(figure 4).
We recommend that you have the appliance
TILTED very slightly backwards so that the
doors close without effort.
Accurate LEVELLING is ESSENTIAL to
avoid VIBRATION AND RATTLE. It also
extends the life of the compressor.

Connecting up

- As a SAFETY MEASURE, wait TWO
HOURS before STARTING the appliance.
- Check that the VOLTAGE shown on the
DATA PLATE is the same as your SUPPLY
voltage.
- Check that the SOCKET you are using has
an integral EARTH which meets the
Regulations.
approved ELECTRICIAN.
- IMPORTANT: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE
EARTHED.
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
GREEN AND YELLOW: EARTH
BLUE: NEUTRAL
BROWN: LIVE
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of the appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the therminal in your plug
which is marked with the letter "E" or by the
earth symbol

The wire which is coloured blue must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter "N" or coloured black.

If a B.S. 1363 (13 amp) fused plug is used,
this must be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. If any
other type of plug is used the appliance must
be protected by a 13 amp fuse either in the plug
or adaptor or at the distribution board.
Note: If the terminals of the plug are
unmarked or if you are in any doubt, consult a
qualified electrician.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Read this section carefully; if you rely on our
experience you will enjoy MANY YEARS of
HIGHLY EFFICIENT, problem-free service.
Remember that you now have a combined
FRIDGE-FREEZER with TWO separate COLD
SYSTEMS, one for each compartment, the
refrigerator at the top and the freezer
underneath. This means that you can run the
two units quite independently.

CONTROL PANEL

Use figure 5 to get to know all the functions
and controls embodied in the CONTROL
PANEL at the top of your APPLIANCE.
1. BUTTON with ON/OFF INDICATOR
an
LIGHT
for
the
DISCONNECTION
REFRIGERATOR. It also connects the
interior LIGHT in this compartment.
2. Sliding CONTROL for REGULATING THE
REFRIGERATOR'S THERMOSTAT.
3. THERMOSTAT position indicator DIAL for
the REFRIGERATOR.
4. Door SWITCH for the REFRIGERATOR'S
interior LIGHT.
5. BUTTON with ON/OFF INDICATOR
LIGTH
for
the
DISCONNECTION of the FREEZER.
6. Sliding CONTROL for REGULATING THE
FREEZER'S THERMOSTAT.
7. THERMOSTAT position indicator DIAL for
the FREEZER.
8. BUTTON with ON/OFF INDICATOR
LIGHT for the SUPER-FREEZE position.
9. WARNING LIGHT (red) to advise of
abnormal temperatures in the FREEZER.
