Useful Information
Liquid damage
Problem
Liquid or other form of moisture
has entered the handset/base
unit.
Caution:
L To avoid permanent damage, do not use a microwave oven to speed up the drying
process.
Registering a handset to the base unit

Handset:
{j/OK}

{V}/{^}: "Handset Setup" i {j/OK}

{V}/{^}: "Register H.set" i {j/OK}

Base unit:
Press and hold {x} for about 5 seconds. (No registration tone)
L If all registered handsets start ringing, press the same button to stop. Then
repeat this step. (KX-TG2512/KX-TG2513/KX-TG2522/KX-TG2523/
KX-TG2524)
L The next step must be completed within 90 seconds.

Handset:
Wait until "Enter Base PIN" is displayed. i Enter the base unit PIN (default:
"0000"). i {j/OK}
L If you forget your PIN, see page 37.
L When the handset has been registered successfully, w stops flashing.
Note:
L If the registration fails, try to deregister the handset and then re-register it again.
Press {j/OK} i {V}/{^}: "Base Unit Setup" i {j/OK} i {3}{3}{5}
i {j/OK} i Select the handset(s) you want to cancel, by pressing the
desired handset number. i {j/OK} i {V}/{^}: "Yes" i {j/OK} i
Repeat from step 1.

Cause/solution
L Disconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line
cord from the base unit. Remove the batteries
from the handset and leave to dry for at least
3 days. After the handset/base unit are
completely dry, reconnect the AC adaptor and
telephone line cord. Insert the batteries and
charge fully before use. If the unit does not
work properly, contact an authorised service
centre.
