In the patterns "A"– "D"( page 3–4), you can also connect the main unit and TV with the VIDEO OUT, S VIDEO OUT, and COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
terminals instead of connecting with a fully wired 21-pin Scart cable.

 The S VIDEO OUT terminal achieves a more vivid picture than the VIDEO OUT terminal. (Actual
results depend on the television.)

 COMPONENT VIDEO terminals can be used for either interlace or progressive output (Operations
Guide page 50) and provide a purer picture than the S VIDEO OUT terminal.
 Connect to terminals of the same color.
If you have a regular television (CRT: cathode ray tube)
Use component output with progressive "Off" (Factory setting, Operations Guide 
page 37), even if it is progressive compatible, because progressive output can cause
some fl ickering. This is the same for multi system televisions using PAL mode.

Conserving power
The main unit consumes a small amount of power, even
when it is turned off [approx. 2 W (Power save mode)]. To
save power when the unit is not to be used for a long time,
unplug it from the household mains socket.
Set the unit to standby mode and remove the AC mains
lead after "BYE" disappears from the unit's display.
 You will need to reset some memory items in the unit after
plugging.
Note
The included AC mains lead is for use with this unit only.
Do not use it with other equipment. Also, do not use
cords for other equipment with this unit.
