Directory

Dial, delete or edit directory entries

To dial, delete or edit a directory entry (name and number), the entry must
be displayed on the handset. Use Review the directory (page 35) to show
an entry.

Display dial

To dial a displayed number from the directory, press
/SPEA�ER
SPEA�ER.

Delete a directory entry

To delete the displayed directory entry, press
Press
/SELECT to confirm. There is a confirmation tone and

the screen shows Contact deleted. You cannot retrieve a
deleted entry.

Edit a directory entry

1. When a directory entry displays, press
EDIT NUMBER along with the phone number to be edited.
If you only want to edit the name, skip to Step 3.
2. To edit the number:
Press the dialing keys to add digits.
Press q
CID
or right.
Press
MUTE
Press and hold
Press and hold
if desired.
3. Press
/SELECT to save the number. The screen shows
MENU
EDIT NAME along with the name to be edited.
4. To edit the name:
Press the dialing keys to add characters (page 34).
Press q
CID
or right.
Press
MUTE
Press and hold
5. Press
/SELECT. There is a confirmation tone and the screen shows Saved.

to move the cursor to the left

/DELETE to erase a digit.
/DELETE to erase all digits.

/PAUSE to add a 3-second pause,
REDIAL

to move the cursor to the left
DIR
/DELETE to erase a character.
/DELETE to erase all characters.
