Manage Advanced Settings

Go to
System
>
Advanced
under
Management
to manage the advanced settings for Surveillance Station.

Initial Page Setting
You can choose from the drop-down menu to set the initial page after logging in to Surveillance Station.

Centralized Management
Centralized management allows a host server to see the live view and recorded events of other clients through
Live View
or
Event Playback
page.
To set your DiskStation as a client:
Tick
Enable centralized
management, choose
Be a
client, and then enter an
Authentication key
and confirm
the key in the
Confirm authentication key
field.
The host server will be required to enter the correct key to log in and watch the live views and recorded events on
your DiskStation.
To set your DiskStation as a host server:
1 Tick
Enable centralized management
and then choose
Be a host
server.
2 Go to
Device
>
Centralized Management
and click Add.
3 Name your client, enter its IP address, port number, and authentication key (5000 by default), and then click
Test
Client.
