in contact withworkpiece.
CAUTION: Allairpower fastening t oolsrecoil w hen
operated. Thisrecoil i scaused byrapiddriving of
thefastener. Tool m aybounce fromrecoil c ausing a
second unwanted f astener t o bedriven.Reduce tool
bounce byholding toolfirmlyin hand andpressing
toolgently against w orkpiece. L etthetooldothe
work. T hiswillallowrecoil o ftoolto bounce toolaway
fromworkpiece p reventing t hedriving ofsecond
fastener.
TOOL-FREE D EPTH ADJUSTMENT
Thecontact trip maybeadjusted upor downtovary
the depth ofthefastener i ntheworkpiece. T oadjust,
rotate depthcontrol wheel(SeeFigure 9)to raiseor
lower contact t riptodesired setting.

CLEARING AJAMMED FASTENER
WARNING: Disconnect toolfromairsupply before
attempting t o clear j ammed fasteners.
Depress themagazine c overrelease latchand
slidethe magazine c overopen.Remove a nyre-
maining fasteners f romthe magazine. NOTICE:
Fasteners a reunder spring pressure andmay
dislodge fromthemagazine.
Grasp nosecoveronbothsidesandpulloutward
untilpindisengages fromlatch,thenpullupward
sothatfastener g uideplateswings awayfrom
magazine(SeeFigure12).
If necessary, uselongnosepliers to remove the
jammed fastener.
Close fastener g uideplate, h ookpinintolatch
andsnapnoseplate c losed.

NO-MAR TIP
Thetoolis equipped w itha no-mar t ipthatprevents
marring offinished surfaces b ythecontact t ripduring
normal o peration. T ipcanberemoved andstored
onthestorage sleeve located ontheendcoverof
the magazine. Hexwrench is alsostored onthebelt

OPERATING P RESSURE
Useonlyenough airpressure t o perform theop-
eration. Air pressure inexcess ofthatwhichis re-
quired will make theoperation inefficient andmay
causepremature w earor damage tothetool.
Determine m inimum air pressure r equired by
driving sometestfasteners intotheworkpiece.
Setairpressure s o thattestfasteners a redriven
down flushwiththeworksurface. F asteners d riv-
entoodeepmaydamage workpiece.
