CALL OPERATIONS
MAKING A CALL TO THE NUMBER
CONTAINING WILDCARDS
There may be stored contact numbers that con-
tain wildcards (question marks).
used e.g. in sub-numbers or when the FDN (Fixed
Dialing Numbers) feature is activated in the
phone.
You can iniate the call normally by pressing
When the text field opens up, replace the blinking
wildcards by keying in the actual numbers. You
can move in the string by pressing

FAILING TO MAKE A CALL
Note that a call attempt may not be possible for
these reasons: There is no network, one data call
is already connected, 2 voice calls are already
connected, call cost limit is exceeded, emergency
FDN
call is put through,
feature is activated and the destination number is
not in the FDN list, the SIM card is rejected, there
is no SIM card inserted in the phone, the
ring
is activated and the destination number is
barred, one call is already connected and another

To end or reject a call, press
end the call or call attempt by pressing

Incoming calls

RECEIVING A CALL

When a call is being received, you will hear a ring-
ing tone, see the caller´s number (if the CLIP ser-
vice is supported and not restricted) and the
incoming call animation.
If you have stored the caller´s information in
Contacts
, you may see the caller´s name and pic-
ture and hear a personal ringing tone or a group
tone. Otherwise the tone is the ringing tone of the
current sound profile.
If you have ALS (Alternate Line Service) in use,
an icon located on the upper left corner indicates
whether the call is coming from the line1 or line2.
