MIDI Note Learn

If you wish to control the Nord Drum 2 with
a MIDI controller, the MIDI notes that this
controller transmits can be automatically as-
signed by the Nord Drum 2 to trigger the six
channels .

Connect a MIDI pad or other MIDI
controller to the MIDI Input on the Nord
Drum 2 .

Press Channel Select on the Nord Drum
2 to select one of the channels .

Press MIDI repeatedly until "
in the display . Turn the dial until you
reach the setting after 127, "

Strike the pad on the MIDI unit that you
wish to assign to the selected Nord
Drum 2 channel .
The note number that the MIDI pad
transmitted will be assigned to this Nord
Drum 2 channel and will be shown in the
display .

Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 to assign the
other five channels to the additional
MIDI note numbers that the MIDI unit
transmits .

Press the Program button to Exit .

Changing programs

Press the Program button and turn the dial to
change programs . Programs are organized in
8 Banks with 50 Programs in each bank .

banks with 50 user definable programs each
(400 in total) .

Drum 2 comes with a selection of sounds

All the sounds can be edited and overwritten
if you like, or saved as copies to other loca-
tions . The P5 to P8 banks are intentionally
left blank for saving your own creations but
you're free to save anywhere you like .
