Cables and housing are one of the most overlooked
parts on the bicycle. The first indication that your
cables and housing need to be replaced is an
increased amount of pressure needed to operate the
brakes or shifters. Before every ride, check that t h e r e
are no kinks or frays in the cables and housing. Also
check that the housing is seated properly into each
cable stop of the bicycle. It is recommended
that the cables and housing are replaced at least
every riding season to prolong the life of your bike.
Do not ride a bicycle that is not
operating properly.
