    MOON CD.5 CD Player Important Safety Instructions Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions. Do not use this apparatus near water. Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not block ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

    MOON CD Players are so musically satisfying. The performance of your CD.5 will continue to improve during the first 400 hours of listening. This is the result of a “break- in” period required for the numerous high quality electronic parts used throughout this CD Player.

    You should avoid placing it near a heat source or inside a closed cabinet that is not well ventilated as this could compromise the CD Player’s performance and reliability. The CD.5 uses a toroidal transformer; even though it is well shielded, you should not place the player too close to source components sensitive to EMI, such as turntables and phono preamplifiers.

    When a CD is first loaded into the CD.5, the total number of tracks, and total playing time will appear in the display. In the event that you load a CD that contains no musical tracks (i.e. data only), the word ‘DATA’ will appear in the display window.

    There is one (1) digital audio output labeled “DIGITAL OUTPUT” located directly to the right of the “ANALOG OUT”. An RCA connector labeled “S/PDIF” allows you to use the CD.5 as a CD transport whereby, digital signal processing will be handled externally by another DAC or surround processor.

    CD.5. In the event that this can’t be avoided, you should ensure that any cables coming into contact with each other are crossed at a ninety degree angle to minimize the contact area.

    To engage the CRM remote for use with the MOON CD.5 CD Player, you must first press the button labeled CD.
