  • Page 2 The UT-3000 transmitter is compatible with any 3000 Series receiver. The UT-3000 has several methods of activation. First, it has a push but- ton that can be used as a panic button or doorbell. The UT-3000 also has terminals for a normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) input.

    Operation: 1. Swing open the bottom of the front cover to reveal the battery connector, dip switch- es and input terminals. (see Figure 1) 2. Connect a 9-volt alkaline battery to the transmitter. 3. Set the dip switches 1-8 on the transmit- ter module to match the receiver.
  • Page 4 Figure 2 Coding the transmitter: 1. Open the bottom section of the transmitter (as shown in figure 1) 2. Locate the 10 dip switches in the transmitter (figure 2). 3. The first eight dip switches are for the frequency setting (256 combina- tions).
  • Page 5 Connecting an exterior detector: The UT-3000 can be activated by any type of detector which provides a normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) relay output. 1. Locate the terminals to the right of the dip switches (#3 on figure 2).

  • Page 7 (figure 4) The mounting bracket is located on the back of the UT-3000 and can be removed by simply slid- ing it off. Position the bracket were you would like it and place two screws in the holes provided. To place the UT-3000 back simply slide it over the bracket.
  • Page 8 WARRANTY Dakota Alert warrants this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, abuse, act of God or improper operation. If this product does become defective, simply return it to Dakota Alert.
