Acer MG 3001-P User's Guide
Firmware updates
Firmware updates are software patches that are made available by the manufacturer
to correct software issues or add new features to your hardware.
You may need to update the firmware of your Acer MG3001-p from time to time.
To update the firmware open the Firmware Update menu via the Settings menu. The
screen will display your current firmware version.
To search for any available updates, select Scan for updates and press OK. The system
will then scan for any available software updates.
If there are no updates currently available then a message 'No new version was
found' will be displayed. Press the Back button to return to the main menu and
continue using your MG3001-p.
If there is an update available the update screen will be displayed.
As a firmware update will involve changes to your Acer MG3001-p's software, the
message is accompanied by a standard warning about firmware updates.
Press OK to begin the update process. A download screen will appear to keep you
updated on the process of the download.
