Change the number of rings before pickup

By default, your answering machine picks up calls after
the third ring. You can use the base or the handset to
change this setting.
You can set it to pick up after two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight or nine rings.
If you would like the machine to pick up after five rings
but after two if new messages are waiting, select Toll
Saver (TS). Toll Saver is helpful in this way: If you check
messages from a remote, long-distance location, and the
machine doesn't pick up after two rings, you know that
there are no new messages. You can hang up and avoid
incurring a long-distance fee.
