S/N -67dB
And also High S/N ratios of -67dB for NTSC and -65dB for
PAL are achieved. Superb high-quality pictures, with excel-
lent S/N ratio, are obtained during all operating conditions
since processing such as white shading, gamma and DTL are
all performed digitally. The color reproduction in low light
areas is greatly improved thanks to 12-bit A/D conversion.
AIT CCD
Newly developed AIT(Advanced Interline Transfer) CCDs
offer high sensitivity of f11 and very low smear level of -135dB.
This CCD achieves a high resolution of 750 TV lines.
Wide Sensitivity Range Including Hyper Gain
With a wide sensitivity range and twelve (12) gain settings,
the operating range is greatly extended. The Hyper Gain of
+48dB allows a minimum illumination of 0.03 lux.
Extended Exposure Unit
The sensitivity can be increased up to
120 times by CCD charge accumula-
tion over longer than standard 1/60
second, for special operation in the
dark. Furthermore, the CCD Scan
Reverse and Alternate Field
Progressive mode are available
(option).
Shutter Function / Super-V
Besides the six preset shutters, variable shutter function is
provided, so shutter speed can be changed continuously.
And also the Super-V function is available to obtain more
vertical resolution.
High Performance 1.5 inch Viewfinder
The HL-60W
is equipped
with a high
performance
viewfinder of
horizontal res-
olution of 600 TV lines. In addition, the viewfinder can be
moved horizontally and vertically by means of an innovative
sliding system.
Viewfinder Indication function

exclusively in the viewfinder, to make the precise point of
focus easier to find, and to make it easier for the camerap-
erson to focus.
Memory Card Function (SmartMedia

card. Camera setup
is greatly simplified
by loading the data
stored in the memo-

TM
used as the memory
card.
P.FUNC (Personal function) Switch
P.FUNC switch is
provides for the most
frequently used func-
tions for operator
convenience,such as
IRIS Correction,
Black Press and
Black Stretch.
Rotary Pulse Switch
A Rotary pulse switch is provided on the front of the HL-
60W so that a shutter speed and Super-V function can be
set and the intended function can be also quickly selected
on the menu screen during the camera setting mode.
Variety of DTL function
A variety of DTL functions including New Slim DTL for
thinner details edge, New Skin DTL, Soft DTL for more
natural picture, Diagonal DTL for cross color suppression
and moiré, Variable 8- step boost frequency for horizontal
edge, and H/V balance control are incorporated.
New Skin DTL with Multi-mixed Color Function
The conventional Skin DTL function reduces DTL added to
skin tone. The New Skin DTL feature also reduces the high
frequency element of skin tone to further soften the com-
plexion of the talent. A second system permits a decrease
or increase of DTL in color of user's choice.
For example, besides the correction of skin tone, the back-
ground color behind the face can be changed in sharpness.
