Starting up and temperature regulation

Switch the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF switch (5).
The following effects are of significance in respect of the interior tem-
perature:
– Ambient temperature;
– Quantity and temperature of the food stored;
– Frequency with which the door is opened and how long it is left
open.
The following temperature settings can therefore only be considered as
recommendations that may well need to be adapted to suit your par-
ticular situation.
Setting „
refrigeration off.
Setting „1" means:
highest, warmest internal temperature
Setting „4" means:
lowest, coldest internal temperature
Recommended regulator setting:
„2-3".
1. Turn the thermostat control knob (1) in the direction of "1".
The green light (3) and the red light (4) come on, the audible warning
sounds (if fitted), and the refrigeration motor starts up.
2. Additionally operate the fast-freeze switch (1).
The yellow pilot light (2) comes on, the audible warning switches off,
and the freezer motor runs continuously.
3. Only when the red light (3) has gone out should you reset the fast-
freeze switch (1). The yellow light (2) goes out and the audible warning
mode is activated again.
The temperature regulator (6) can be used to set the required storage
temperature, -18°C or colder.
Important! Wait until the freezer compartment has reached a temper-
ature of –18°C, or the red warning light has gone out, before storing
frozen food.

the thermometer that the required storage temperature is being main-
