service tag numbers, and IP address information. The LCD panel can be retracted into the chassis
(Figure 3), or extended and angled once deployed for full visibility no matter where the M1000e is
mounted in the rack (Figure 4).

The LCD panel can be used as a diagnostic source and as a place to configure parameters of certain
chassis components as well as the server's iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller network configuration.
The primary function of the LCD panel is to provide real-time information on the health and status
of the modules in the enclosure. LCD panel features include:

A deployment setup wizard that allows you to configure the CMC module's network settings
during initial system set up

Menus to configure the iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller in each blade

Status information screens for each blade
