Prior to Initial Start-Up

1. Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial
start-up (see section: "Cleaning and Maintenance").
2. Remove both ice packs from the freezer tray, if they are included with
your model.
3. Place the ice packs into a compartment or drawer only after the opti-
mal storage temperature of -18°C has been reached, and allow to
freeze.
4. After 24 hours place the ice packs at the front of the freezer tray.
5. Re-freeze thawed ice packs in the same fashion, e.g. after cleaning the
appliance.

Initial Start-Up

1. Insert plug into mains socket.
2. Press the ON/OFF button. The green mains power light illuminates. The
temperature display shows the current freezing room temperature
(ACTUAL temperature). The red warning light flashes indicating that the
required storage temperature has not yet been reached.

The warning light switch off automatically when the temperature in
the freezer compartment drops again and returns to the setting of the
temperature regulation.
3. Adjust the temperature to -18 °C or colder (see "Temperature Adjust-
ment" section).
Temperature range that can be set: -15 °C to -24 °C.

Important! Wait until the freezer compartment has reached a tempera-
ture of -18 °C, or the red warning light has gone out, before storing
frozen food.
