Preparing
For long vacations or absences, remove food
and unplug the refrigerator. Move the control

to OFF, and clean the interior with a baking
soda solution of one tablespoon (15 ml) of
baking soda to one quart (1 l) of water. Leave

Care and Cleaning

For shorter vacations, remove perishable foods
and leave controls at regular settings. However,
if the room temperature is expected to drop
below 60°F (16°C), follow the same
instructions as for extended vacations.
Move the icemaker feeler arm to the STOP
(up) position and shut off the water supply to
the refrigerator.
