Maintenance Operations
Fault
Fault name and
display
meaning
e05
Main circuit under-
voltage
The main circuit DC
voltage reached the
undervoltage detec-
tion level (200 V DC)
during Inverter opera-
tion.
e06
Radiation fin over-
heated
The temperature of the
radiation fins of the
Inverter has exceeded
the specified tempera-
ture.
e07
Cooling fan fault
The cooling fan has
been locked (stopped)
or the rotation speed is
down by 30% or more.
Note: The motor output
will stop if it's locked or
the speed is down by
50% or more. A fault
will be output if the
speed is down 30% or
more.
e08
Braking IGBT fault
The brake IGBT is mal-
functioning.
e09
Accumulated time
alarm
Probable cause
Power supply to the Inverter has phase
loss or the power cable is discon-
nected.
Incorrect power supply voltage
Momentary power interruption has
occurred.
The internal circuitry of the Inverter is
damaged.
The ambient temperature is too high.
The installation space is insufficient.
The load is too large.
The acceleration/deceleration time is
too short.
The ventilation is obstructed.
The cooling fan of the Inverter does not
work. (The cooling fan's service life has
expired, or the fan is broken.)
The cooling fan wiring has a fault.
The cooling fan is not in good condition. Check and remove the for-
The cooling fan is faulty or beyond its
service life.
The IGBT is damaged.
The Inverter's accumulated time has
reached the accumulated operating
time standard (P02) that was set.
Chapter 4
Correction
Check the wiring and check
for loose screws and discon-
nected wires and correct any
problems.
Make sure that the power sup-
ply voltage is within specifica-
tions
• Use the momentary power
interruption restart (Set P09
to 1 or 2.)
• Improve the power supply
Replace the Inverter.
Ventilate the Inverter or install
a cooling unit.
Increase the space around the
Inverter.
• Reduce the load.
• Increase the Inverter capac-
ity.
Increase the acceleration/
deceleration time.
Change the location of the
Inverter to meet the installa-
tion conditions.
Replace the cooling fan.
(Applies to Inverters with
fans.)
Turn OFF the Inverter, remove
the Inverter, and check and
repair the wiring.
eign material or dust on the
fan.
Replace the fan.
Turn OFF the Inverter power
immediately, and replace the
Inverter.
To cancel the alarm, set the
accumulated operating time
clear parameter (P21) to ini, or
increase the existing accumu-
lated operating time standard
(P02).
