2.4GHz Multi-Handset Cordless Phone System
Chapter 3
Features
Auto Back light
The handset display illuminates when keys are pressed and stays lit for several
seconds afterward.

Out of Range

If you try to place a call or turn your handset on when you are too far away from the
base, you will hear an out of range warning (four very fast beeps). The handset
display will show "Searching," and the
symbol flashes. Move in closer to the
base and try again.

Low Battery Indication

When the battery begins to run low, a
symbol in the upper right hand corner of
the handset's display will appear. A clear battery icon and a long beep every 30
seconds signal low battery power. Return the cordless handset to either the base unit
or the optional charger cradle.
Call Timer
A call timer, located in the upper right corner of the handset display records the
duration of a call. It begins timing the call from the moment you get a dial tone. It
ends when the line disconnects.
Message Waiting Indicator
If you subscribe to voice messaging service from Qwest, both the handset and the
base station will indicate that you have a message waiting. On the handset, an
envelope
will appear in the middle of the first line of the handset screen. On the
base station, the "Messages" light turns on. It turns off once you retrieve messages.
Note: If light does not go out, select "Reset Msg Waiting" under "System Settings"
.
