optional add-on air proving is a configuration that allows TrueSTEAM to double-check physi-
cal air movement.
Air proving is configured through DIP 5 on TrueSTEAM. Set DIP 5 up with DIP 4 down to enable
air proving.
1. In addition to monitoring system power and fan
operation, truesteam can monitor physical air
movement via an external air proving device.
• Wire TrueSTEAM R and C to HVAC system R and C with an
air proving device in-line on C.
• Set DIP 5 up and keep DIP 4 down.
• TrueSTEAM will look for physical air movement through its
C connection prior to steam entering the duct.
