"Punch through" playback functions
When the remote control is in TV, SAT or
cable operation (devices without their own
playback function), the buttons PLAY, STOP,
PAUSE, FF/REW and (depending on the
type of device) REC control a connected
video recorder or DVD player. The DVD or
VCR source button does not first need to be
pressed. The controlled device is always the
last selected device.
This punch through control does not work
when the programmed TV, SAT or cable code
has its own video recorder functions (for
example a TV/video recorder combination
device).

Troubleshooting
The display remains dark:
* Ensure that the batteries are correctly
inserted in the remote control and that the
polarity + /– is correct.
* If the batteries are too low, replace them
with new ones.
The remote control does not work:
* Ensure that your devices are connected
correctly and switched on.
Several device codes are listed under the
brand name of my device. How do I determine
the correct device code?
* In order to determine the correct device
code for your device, test the codes one
after another until most functions of the
device work properly.
The devices only react to some commands
from the remote control:
* Test further codes until the devices react
to the commands accordingly.
* If none of the code programming
described is successful, it is possible
in isolated cases that the device is not
compatible with your universal remote
control.
