To replace the presser foot on a Singer Touch & Sew 758 sewing machine, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the machine for safety.
2. Raise the presser foot lever to lift the presser foot.
3. Raise the needle to its highest position using the handwheel.
4. Locate the presser foot release lever or button at the back or side of the presser foot holder.
5. Press the release lever or button to detach the current presser foot. It should drop off easily.
6. Take the new presser foot and position it under the presser foot holder.
7. Lower the presser foot lever slowly so the holder aligns and snaps onto the new foot.
8. Ensure it is securely attached by gently trying to move the foot side to side.
Your new presser foot is now installed and ready for use.

A credit card is typically required for technical help with the Singer Touch & Sew 758 to cover service fees or charges associated with the support. This may include costs for phone or online assistance, diagnostic services, repair consultations, or ordering replacement parts. The credit card ensures payment can be processed before or during the support service.

If your Singer Touch & Sew 758 sewing machine has power but the foot controller does not move the machine, the issue could be caused by the following:
1. Faulty Foot Controller: The foot controller may be defective or have a broken internal connection. Check for visible damage or test it with a multimeter to ensure it's functioning properly.
2. Loose or Damaged Power Cord: Inspect the power cord and connections between the foot controller and the machine. Ensure the cord is securely plugged in and free of frays or breaks.
3. Worn Carbon Contacts: Inside the foot controller, carbon contacts can wear out over time, preventing proper electrical transmission. These may need replacement.
4. Motor Issues: The motor may be seized, damaged, or not receiving power. Check the motor for any signs of overheating, wear, or blockage.
5. Internal Wiring Problems: Loose, disconnected, or damaged wiring inside the machine or the foot controller could interrupt the electrical circuit.
6. Stuck Mechanism: If the sewing machine mechanism is jammed or frozen, the motor won't be able to move it, even if the foot controller is functioning.
7. Blown Fuse or Electrical Component: Some sewing machines have internal fuses or electrical components that could fail. Inspect for any blown fuses or damaged components.
To diagnose and fix the problem: - Test the foot controller with another compatible sewing machine, if available. - Ensure the machine is properly oiled and free of jams. - Consult a professional technician if internal repairs are needed.
Avoid operating the machine until the issue is resolved to prevent further damage.
