Installing the Batteries

1. If replacing the batteries, install the front and rear battery wiring
harness. Refer to Connecting/Disconnecting the Battery Wiring
Harness - TDX SP and TDX SR with Elevating Seat Only on
page 102.
2. Position the right and left batteries onto the rear of the battery tray.
Front of battery tray is designated by the battery

stop. Rear of the battery tray is the opposite end.
Orientation of the battery is critical otherwise
batteries will not connect to the controller or
each other.
• Position the front battery onto the front of the battery tray.
• Connect the right battery to the left battery.
3. Connect battery straps.
4. Slide the battery tray into the wheelchair.
5. Connect the wiring harness from the controller connector.
6. Connect the front battery wiring harness from the ventilator
connector.
7. Install the rear shroud, front shroud and battery retention bracket.
Refer to Removing/Installing the Wheelchair Shrouds TDX SP/SR
on page 100.
8. Connect the joystick. Refer to Disconnecting/Connecting the
Joysticks on page 86.
