(6) The tape is not ejected correctly after
being automatically cut.
(7) The machine has "locked up" (i.e., noth-
ing happens when a key is pressed).
(8) After turning on the P-touch, the message
"BACKUP MEMORY CLEARED" appears
and all of the files in the memory are lost.

Problem Solution
Turn off the machine, open the tape com-
partment cover, and remove the tape cas-
sette if one is installed.
Using a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl
(rubbing) alcohol, clean off the metal piece
in the exit slot to the left of cutter.

Reset the machine by turning it off, and
while holding down
ing the machine back on.
All text and formats in the display and all
text files stored in the memory will be
erased.
The internal backup battery is low. Con-
tact your nearest service representative.
