You can start Epson Scan just by pressing the

Note for Mac OS X 10.5.8 users:
The Start button is not supported. To start Epson Scan, see
instructions.
Using the Epson Scan Icon
You can start Epson Scan by double-clicking the EPSON Scan icon.
Windows 8:
Double-click the EPSON Scan icon on the desktop.
Or, Navigate to the Start screen and select EPSON Scan.
Start button on the scanner. The Epson Scan window automatically
for instructions on selecting an Epson Scan mode.
