Chapter 4: Playing Discs

Random playback

You can play titles or chapters (DVD-Video) or tracks
(VCD, SVCD, or Audio CD) in random order.

During playback, press SETUP.
The Setup menu appears on-screen.

Select "Play Mode," and then press ENTER.
The Play Mode menu appears on-screen.

Select "Random," select a random option, and
then press ENTER.
The available random options depends on the
type of disc.
• For DVD discs, you can select "Random Title" or
"Random Chapter. "
• For VCD, SVCD, and Audio CD discs, you can
select "On. "

To cancel random playback, select "Random
Off," and then press ENTER.

To close the Setup menu, press SETUP.
Tips:
• During random playback, press Next (
select another title, chapter, or track. Press
Previous ( ) to return to the beginning of the
current title, chapter, or track.
• You can display the Play Mode menu quickly by
pressing PLAY MODE.
Notes:
• You cannot combine random playback with
program playback.
• Random playback cannot be used with DVD-VR
(VR mode DVD-R/RW/R DL), DivX
JPEG, MP3, WMA, or MPEG-4 AAC discs, or
while a DVD menu is displayed.
