Before you call for service...
Troubleshooting Tips
Save time and money! Review the charts on the following
pages first and you may not need to call for service.
Problem
TEMP appears
in the display
Surface element is
glowing red when it
should be on a low
power setting
"F" and a number
appear in the display
and the cooktop
produces an audible
sound

Possible Causes
Cooktop too hot and the
time-out feature activated.
The rapid heat-up feature
activated.
You have a fault code.
What To Do
• Allow the surface element(s) to cool for 1/2 to
1 hour before using again.
• The cooktop has a rapid heat-up feature and is
designed to do this. See the Radiant surface elements
section.
• Write down the "F" and the number and touch
the CONTROL LOCK pad. See the Fault code section.
