The Alt. button (half load option)
The Alt. button allows you to get one of the spray arms to run on its
own, meaning that you can choose to only wash items in the top
basket or only wash items in the bottom basket.
IMPORTANT: You should only load items in the basket
which has the spray arm set to run on it.
o Check whether the appliance needs rinse aid or salt adding to it.
o Pull out the top basket, and then load it in accordance with the
loading instructions.
o Push the top and bottom baskets fully back into position.
o Add detergent.
o Close the door firmly, so that you hear the door lock click shut.
o Turn the appliance on by using the ON/OFF button.
o Press the relevant program selection button to choose an
appropriate wash program for the load that you are washing.
The light above the program selection button that you have
pressed will come on.
o Press the ALT button once and the upper spray arm ONLY will
run.
o Press the ALT button twice and the lower spray arm ONLY will
run.
o The light above the ALT button will come on to confirm that the
button has been pressed.
o Press the ALT button for a third time and the dishwasher will
return to normal operation.
o After a few seconds, you will hear the appliance begin to fill with
water and the wash program will have started.
