UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY
YOUR PROJECTOR HAS BEEN DESIGNED SO THAT THE DRIVE ARM, COLUMN AND COLUMN CLAMP
CAN BE STORED WITHIN THE PROJECTOR DURING SHIPPING AND STORAGE.
1) Carefully remove the projector and any accessories from the carton. (Please save the shipping
carton and other packaging materials, should the projector require re-shipping at a later date.)
2) Depress Platform Catches (G) (located on both sides of the projector) and open the Platform (N).
3) Remove the Column (F), Drive Arm (M) and Column Clamp (S) from the interior of the projector
by rotating the Retaining Tabs(V) until the Column and Arm may be moved freely. (Diagram 1).
4) Close Platform (ensuring Platform Catches (G) are fully engaged).
5) Insert Column Clamp (S) into Column (F) and screw into Projector. (Diagram 2).
N.B. - The Column (F) must be firmly locked in the full, upright position; The Column Clamp (S)
is keyed such that the Column can only be fully secured in one upright position. (Diagram 3).
6) Fit Drive Arm (M) over the top of Column (F) and press downwards until resistance is felt. Turn
the Drive Unit Wheel (A) counterclockwise to engage Drive Arm (M) to Rack (E).(Diagram 2).
7) Raise Mirror (B) to approximately 45º. (Diagram 3).
N.B. - The projector Mirror (B) is designed to fall to a horizontal position if the mirror is lowered
beyond the normal projection angle.
SET UP
1) Place the projector on a secure, flat surface ensuring Air Inlets and Outlets (K, P & T) are not
obstructed.
2) Remove the Power Cable from Cable Storage (Q).Firmly insert plug (Diagram 5) into Europlug
Socket (R) and connect to the electricity supply. N.B. - Refer to Safeguards section 8.
3) Switch projector on by depressing Power ON/OFF Switch (U). Adjust Mirror (B) to give the
desired picture height and move projector forward or backward to obtain the desired image size.
4) Place transparency on Platform (N) and turn Drive Unit Wheel (A) clockwise or counterclockwise
until projected image is clear and sharp.
FEATURES
1) Power ON/OFF Switch (U).
2) Economy Switch (L) (where applicable) which is used to reduce the light output of the lamp and
prolong lamp life.
3) Platform Catches (G) allows the Platform to be opened and access to the interior of the projector
for lamp replacement.
WARNING - switch off projector and allow to cool before changing lamps.
4) Lamp Change (H) (where applicable) allows immediate selection of a second lamp, by sliding
the button across, should "lamp one" fail.
5) Cable Storage (Q), in to which the Power Cable may be safely packed when projector is not in
use.
6) Drive Unit Wheel (A) allows the projected image to be focused by moving drive unit up or
down.
7) The Column (F) may be lowered to a storage position by grasping the column and loosening the
Column Clamp (S) until the post is able to fall forward freely to its down position. Tighten
Clamp.
8) Interrupt switch - prohibits use of the projector when the Platform (N) is not in place.
9) Thermal Cut Out - prevents damage to the projector due to overheating.
MAINTENANCE & CARE
REPLACING THE FUSE
The Europlug socket (R) is fitted with a fuse. If you suspect a blown fuse the procedure for
replacement is as follows:-
1) Switch off projector at Power ON/OFF Switch (U) and at electricity supply.
2) Disconnect the Europlug (Diagram 5) from the Europlug socket (R).
3) Pull out the fuse drawer (diagram 4).
4) Lift out suspect fuse and replace with another of the specified type.
5) Close fuse holder drawer. Reconnect Euro-plug to Euro-socket. The projector is now ready for
use.
REPLACING THE LAMP
1) Switch off projector at Power ON/OFF Switch (U) and at electricity supply.
2) Disconnect the Europlug (Diagram 5) from the Europlug socket (R).
3) Warning - Allow Projector to cool before attempting lamp replacement.
4) Open Platform using Platform Catches (G).
5) Lift condenser lens & plate (where applicable) which is situated above the lamp(s).
6) Remove the lamp from the lamp holder and discard of appropriately.
WARNING - Beware of sharp edges on the surrounding metalwork.
7) Install a new lamp of the specified type using the handling procedures described by the lamp
manufacturer. N.B. - Refer to Safeguards section 16.
8) Confirm lamp element is positioned centrally over the lamp box mirror and adjust appropriately.
9) Close the condenser lens & plate firmly and ensure it is lying flat (where applicable).
10)Close the Platform and reset the lamp change slider to position "lamp 1" (where applicable).
11)Reconnect Euro-plug to Euro-socket. The projector is now ready for use.
CLEANING
Periodic cleaning of the projector is recommended as some components may have their perform-
ance impaired by environmental conditions.
The following procedure should be followed:-
1) Switch off Projector at Power ON/OFF Switch (U) and at electricity supply.
2) Disconnect the Europlug (Diagram 5) from the Europlug socket (R).
3) Allow projector to cool.
4) Head Unit - The Objective Lens (D) should be wiped with a soft, lint free cloth.
N.B. - avoid scratching the mirror surface.
5) Head Unit - the Mirror surface (B) should be wiped with a soft, lint free cloth.
6) The top surface of the Platform glass area (N) may be cleaned with a soft, lint free cloth and
mild non-abrasive cleaning solution.
7) Fresnel lens - open the Platform (N) using the Platform Catches (G). The fresnel lens is the large
semi transparent plastics area with concentric circles mounted on the underside of the Platform.
Taking note of which side is up, press back the retaining clips on the front corners of the fresnel
lens and lift it out taking extreme care not to scratch the lens surface. Gently clean both surfaces
of the lens with a soft, clean lint free cloth. The underside of the platform glass may also be
cleaned at this point (refer to 6). Insert the fresnel back into the Platform ensuring it is the same
way up prior to removal, correctly seated and securely clipped into position.
N.B. - If the fresnel is replaced upside down the projected image will be distorted.
SAFEGUARDS
1) Read and understand all instructions prior to use.
2) DO NOT leave the projector unattended when switched on.
N.B - Close supervision is advised when the appliance is used by or near children.
3) DO NOT obstruct the air inlets and outlets (K, P & T).
4) DO NOT touch any part of the projector that may become hot.
5) DO NOT leave projector switched on with the Mirror (B) in the down/closed position.
6) DO NOT store projector until it has completely cooled after use.
7) DO NOT operate the projector if the Power Cable is damaged or if the projector has been
dropped or damaged until it has been examined by a qualified person.
8) DO NOT place the Power Cable where it may be tripped over or pulled. Ensure it does not come
into contact with hot surfaces such as pipes or radiators. Make sure the cable is not squashed or
pinched.
9) DO NOT use an extension cable unless it is absolutely necessary and then only one of suitable
current rating (i.e. 10A or greater).
10)DO NOT attempt to carry the projector by the Column (F) or Drive Arm Assembly (M). Grasp
the projector at the front and rear for transporting.
11)DO NOT leave the projector attached to the electricity supply when not in use. Store Power
Cable in Cable Storage (Q) provided.
12)DO NOT disconnect Power Cable from electricity supply by pulling the cable. Always grasp the
Power Cable Plug and pull to disconnect.
13)DO NOT immerse projector in water or other liquids. Doing so may result in Electric Shock!
14)DO NOT attempt to disassemble the projector. Incorrect re-assembly may result in Electric
Shock for subsequent users. Always consult a qualified person.
15)DO NOT attempt to clean or service the projector while it is connected to the electricity supply.
16)DO NOT directly touch replacement lamps as this will contaminate the lamp glass causing pre-
mature failure. Follow the manufactures instructions.
17)DO NOT store projector in direct sunlight.
18)ONLY use the projector for the intended purpose.
19)ONLY replace failed components with those of the recommended type.
20)Consult your Sales Agent on suitability of accessories such as LCD panels prior to use with this
projector.

SU PROYECTOR HA SIDO DISEÑADO PARA QUE EL BRAZO, LA COLUMNA Y LA ABRAZADERA PUEDAN SER GUARDA-
DOS DENTRO DEL PROYECTOR DURANTE SU TRANSPORTE Y ALMACENAMIENTO.
1) Cuidadosamente saque de la caja el proyector y los accesorios. (Por favor conserve la caja y otros materiales de
embalaje, por si el proyector requiriere ser transportado posteriormente).
2) Presione los Seguros de la plataforma (G) (localizados en ambos lados del proyector) y abra la Plataforma (N).
3) Saque la Columna (F) , Montaje del brazo (M) y la Abrazadera de la columna (S) del interior del proyector giran-
do las Lengüetas de retención (V) hasta que la Columna y el Brazo puedan moverse libremente. (Diagrama1)
4) Cierre la Plataforma (asegurándose de que los Fiadores de la plataforma (G) estén completamente enganchados).
5) Inserte la Abrazadera de la columna (S) en la Columna (F) y atorníllela al proyector. (Diagrama 2).
Nota: - La Columna (F) debe estar asegurada firmemente en posición completamente vertical; la Abrazadera de la
Columna (S) está hecha de forma que la Columna pueda asegurarse solamente en una posición vertical. (Diagrama
3).
6) Instale el Brazo (M) sobre la parte superior de la Columna (F) y presione hacia abajo hasta que note resistencia.
Gire la Perilla de enfoque hacia la izquierda para enganchar el Motaje del brazo (M) a la Ranura (E). (Diagrama 2).
7) Levante el espejo (B) hasta que esté a 45° aproximadamente. (Diagrama 3).
Nota: - El Espejo proyector (B) está diseñado para quedar en una posición horizontal si se baja más allá del ángulo
normal de proyección.
INSTALACIÓN
1) Coloque el proyector en una superficie plana y segura, asegurándose de que las Entradas y Salidas de aire (K, Q y
T) no estén obstruidas.
2) Saque el Cable de su Compartimento (Q). Introduzca firmemente el enchufe macho (Diagrama 5) dentro del
enchufe hembra Europlug (R) y conéctelo al suministro de energía. Nota: - Véase la sección 8 de Medidas de
Precaución.
3) Encienda el proyector deslizando el Interruptor de encendido / apagado (U). Ajuste el Espejo (B) para obtener la
altura deseada de proyección de imagen y mueva el proyector hacia delante o hacia atrás para conseguir el
tamaño deseado de proyección de imagen.
4) Coloque el acetato sobre la Plataforma (N) y gire la Perilla de enfoque (A) hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda
hasta que la imagen proyectada se vea con claridad y nitidez.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
1) Interruptor de encendido / apagado (U).
2) Interruptor económico (L), en algunos modelos, que se utiliza para reducir la emisión de luz de la Bombilla y pro-
longar así la vida de la misma.
3) Fiadores de la plataforma (G) permiten abrir la plataforma para acceder al interior del proyector para reemplazar
la Bombilla.
ADVERTENCIA: -Apague el proyector y deje que se enfríe antes de cambiar la Bombilla.
4) Cambio de la bombilla (H) (en algunos modelos) permite la inmediata selección de una segunda Bombilla, al
deslizar el botón, en caso de que falle la "Bombilla uno".
5) Compartimento para el cable (Q), en el que se puede guardar el Cable eléctrico sin peligro cuando el proyector
no está en uso.
6) La Perilla de enfoque (A) permite enfocar la imagen proyectada moviendo la Perilla de enfoque hacia arriba o
hacia abajo.
7) La Columna (F) puede bajarse hasta la posición de almacenaje cogiendo la Columna y aflojando la Abrazadera de
la columna (S) hasta que sea posible mover libremente la Columna hacia delante a su posición baja. Ajuste la
Abrazadera.
8) Interruptor de bloqueo - impide el uso del proyector cuando la Plataforma (N) no está en su lugar.
9) Interruptor térmico - evita que el proyector sufra daños por recalentamiento.
MANTENIMIENTO Y CUIDADO
REEMPLAZO DEL FUSIBLE
El enchufe hembra Europlug (R) viene con un fusible. Si piensa que el fusible se ha fundido, el procedimiento para
cambiarlo es el siguiente:
1) Apague el proyector desde el Interruptor de encendido / apagado (U) y el suministro eléctrico.
2) Desconecte el Europlug (Diagrama 5) del enchufe hembra Europlug (R).
3) Abra el compartimento del fusible (Diagrama 4).
4) Retire el fusible fundido y coloque otro del mismo tipo específico.
5) Cierre el compartimento del fusible. Reconecte el enchufe macho Europlug al enchufe hembra Europlug. El
proyector ya está listo para su utilización.
REEMPLAZO DE LA BOMBILLA
1) Apague el proyector desde el Interruptor de encendido / apagado (U) y desconectándolo del suministro eléctrico.
2) Desconecte el Europlug (Diagrama 5) del enchufe hembra Europlug (S).
3) Advertencia - Deje que el proyector se enfríe antes de intentar cambiar la Bombilla.
4) Abra la Plataforma usando los Seguros de la plataforma (G).

Levante la lente condensadora de luz y la placa (en algunos modelos) que se encuentran encima de la/s
Bombilla/s.
6) Retire la Bombilla del casquillo y deshéchela apropiadamente.
ADVERTENCIA - Tenga cuidado con los bordes afilados de los metales circundantes.
7) Instale la nueva Bombilla del tipo especificado siguiendo los procedimientos manuales descritos por el fabricante
de la Bombilla. Nota: Véase la sección 16 de Medidas de Precaución.
8) Compruebe que el elemento de la Bombilla esté centrado sobre la caja del Espejo y ajústelo apropiadamente.
9) Cierre firmemente la Lente condensadora de luz y la placa y asegúrese de esté en posición totalmente horizontal
(en algunos modelos).
10) Cierre la Plataforma y vuelva a poner el Botón deslizante para cambio de Bombilla en la posición "Bombilla uno"
(en algunos modelos).
11) Reconecte el enchufe hembra Europlug al enchufe macho Europlug. El proyector está ya listo para su utilización.
LIMPIEZA
Se recomienda la limpieza periódica, ya la eficacia de ciertas piezas puede verse reducida por las condiciones ambien-
tales.
Siga el siguiente procedimiento:
1) Apague el proyector por el Interruptor de encendido / apagado (U) y el suministro eléctrico.
2) Desconecte el Europlug (Diagrama 5) del enchufe hembra Europlug (R).
3) Deje enfriar el proyector.
4) Cabeza - la superficie del Espejo (B) debe limpiarse con un lienzo suave y libre de pelusas.
Nota: evite rayar la superficie del Espejo.
5) Cabeza: la Lente objetivo (D) debe limpiarse con un lienzo suave y libre de pelusas.
6) La superficie superior del vidrio de la Plataforma (N) puede limpiarse con un lienzo suave y una solución limpiado-
ra suave y no abrasiva.
7) Lente de Fresnel - abra la Plataforma (N) utilizando los Fiadores de la plataforma (G). La Lente de Fresnel es el
área grande de plástico semitransparente con círculos concéntricos montada en la parte interior de la Plataforma.
Tome nota de qué lado está hacia arriba, presione los ganchos de retención en las esquinas del frente de la Lente
de Fresnel y levántela con extremo cuidado de no rayar la superficie de la Lente. Limpie suavemente ambas super-
ficies de la Lente con un lienzo limpio y libre de pelusas. La parte inferior del vidrio de la Plataforma puede ser
limpiada también en este momento (consulte el punto 6). Inserte la Lente otra vez en la Plataforma, asegurándose
de que el lado que esté hacia arriba sea el mismo que antes de desmontarla, y que esté correctamente apoyado y
asegurado en su posición correcta con los ganchos de retención.
Nota: Si la Fresnel se coloca al revés, la imagen proyectada será deforme.
MEDIDAS DE PRECAUCIÓN
1) Lea y entienda todas las instrucciones antes de usar el proyector.
2) NO deje el proyector desatendido cuando esté encendido.
Nota: Se recomienda una supervisión cercana cuando el aparato es usado por niños o se encuentra
cerca de niños.
3) NO obstruya las entradas y salidas de aire (K, P y T).
4) NO toque ninguna parte del proyector que pueda estar caliente.
5) NO deje el proyector encendido con el Espejo (B) en la posición baja / cerrada.
6) NO guarde el proyector hasta que se haya enfriado completamente después de su uso.
7) NO use el proyector si el Cable eléctrico está dañado o si el proyector se ha caído o dañado hasta que haya sido
examinado por una persona cualificada.
8) NO coloque el Cable eléctrico donde se pueda enganchar o tirar de él. Asegúrese de que no esté en contacto con
superficies calientes como tuberías o radiadores. Cerciórese de que el Cable no esté aplastado o pellizcado.
9) NO utilice un cable de prolongación a menos que sea absolutamente necesario, de ser así, utilice uno con la
potencia eléctrica adecuada (por ejemplo, de 10 Amperios o más).
10) NO intente transportar el proyector sosteniéndolo por la Columna (F) o por el Montaje del brazo (M). Para trans-
portarlo, coja el proyector por la parte de delante y la parte de detrás.
11) NO deje el proyector conectado al suministro de electricidad cuando éste no esté en uso. Guarde el Cable eléctri-
co en el Compartimento para cable (Q) suministrado.
12) NO desconecte el Cable eléctrico del suministro de electricidad tirando del Cable. Siempre hágalo cogiendo el
enchufe y tirando para desconectar.
13) NO sumerja el proyector en agua u otros líquidos. Si hiciera esto podría provocar una sacudida eléctrica.
14) NO intente desarmar el proyector. El armado incorrecto podría provocar una sacudida eléctrica a sucesivos usuar-
ios. Siempre consulte a una persona cualificada.
15) NO intente limpiar o reparar el proyector cuando aún está conectado al suministro de electricidad.
16) NO toque directamente la Bombilla de reemplazo, pues esto contaminaría el vidrio de la Bombilla causando una
falla prematura. Siga las instrucciones del fabricante.
17) NO guarde el proyector a la luz directa del sol.
18) SOLAMENTE utilice el proyector para su propósito.
19) SOLAMENTE reemplace las piezas estropeadas por aquellas del tipo recomendado.
20) Consulte antes a su Agente de Ventas si los accesorios como los paneles VCL (LCD) son adecuados para utilizar
con este proyector.
