Starting the Engine
WARNING! A LWAYS RETRACTTHE CENTER STAND(1)
PRIORTO STARTING THEVEHICLE.
ATTENTION! S IDE KICKSTAND(2) MUSTBEPLACEDIN
THE UPPOSITIONIN ORDERFOR ENGINETO START.
DO NOTapplythrottlewhilestartinqscooter. A pplyingthrottlewhilestarting
scooterwill disengagethe automaticchoke.The scooterwill not start.
NOTE:Startingscooterthefirst timewilltake longerbecause fuel needsto
reachthe carburetor.
1. Makesurescooterhasfuel
2. Checkoil level,add oil if needed.
3. Lift up side kickstand.NOTE:Enqinewill "turn over"butwill not startif
side kickstandis in the "DOWN" position.
4. Turnignitionkey to "ON" position.
5. Turnhandlebar switchto "ON" position.
6. Pullin left handbrake lever.NOTE:Enqinewill not startif left handbrake
lever isnot pulledin.
7. Pushelectricstart button.NOTE:Do notapplythrottlewhilestartinq
scooter.
CAUTION:DO NOT RUNTHE STARTERFORMORETHAN5
SECONDS ATA TIME.ALWAYS ALLOWAT LEAST10SECONDS
BETWEEN STARTING ATTEMPTS.
