Purpose
An infrared transceiver built into the pen tablet
allows you to communicate with other devices
that are compliant with the IrDA Standard Rev.
1.1. Effective range for infrared communication is
about 3 feet, and within 15 degrees off of center.
A clear line-of-sight path must exist between the
IrDA port on the pen tablet and the IrDA
transceiver on the other device.
Connect a telephone line to the optional internal
modem using a standard RJ-11 telephone plug.
Install the pen tablet in an approved docking
device. The contacts provide DC input and USB
interface.
Connect the Stylistic 3400 port replicator or other
approved docking device. Refer to the
documentation accompanying the docking device
for more information.
An infrared receiver built into the pen tablet allows
you to communicate with a wireless infrared
keyboard. The keyboard infrared port works
optimally between 10 to 30 cm (approximately
4 in. to 12 in.) from the keyboard infrared port,
located on the bottom edge of the pen tablet.
Ensure that there is a clear line-of-sight path
between the infrared receiver on the pen tablet
and the infrared transmitter on the keyboard.
The Kensington Microsaver
you to secure the pen tablet using
Kensington-compatible locking devices.
