1. Preparation to Remove the Air Conditioner
Slide-Out Chassis
Positionthe air conditioner on it's back, Fig° 1
Press the indents marked "PUSH" on the bottom
corners of the front grill, this will cause the air
fl!lerto (pop,out) release. Fig, la
Grasp the air filler and pulestraight out Fig lb
Remove the phillips screw securing the grill front
to the chassis., (from behind where the filter was
removed) Fig Ic
To remove the front grill, grasp the lower front
corner (edge) of 1he grill, pulling (gently) outward
and upward, (Flg 4)
Repeal the same procedure on the 3 remaining
corners,(sides)
Before the front grill can be completely removed
from the cabinet, it will be necessary to
disconnect the (male/tome!e) electrical wire
harness focaled directly behind the front grill
control panel (Fig 5a)
Remove the two retaining screws located al the
back of the cabinet securing the slide-out
chassis to the cabinet. (Fig 5)
NOTE:These screws do not have to be
reinstalled once removed, otherwise you wilt
not be_able to remove the slide-out chassis
once the unit is Installed in the window.

Remove the phillips screw & retaining brackel
securing the sltde,out-chasslso (lower front
cabinet) Fig,6a
NOTE:This retaining bracket & screw "must"
be reinstalled upon comp=etlon of the window
installation.
(to secure slide-out-chassis to
cabinet)
Grasp the pull handle at the front of the slide-out-
chassisend carefully slide the air conditioner out
of the cabinet. (Fig.6)
Please seek assistance for this procedure.
