Step 2: Configure the Internal Drive for TERMPWR

A red dot in the illustration denotes Pin 1 on the jumper block or connector.
A SCSI bus must be terminated at each end of the bus. At least one device must supply terminator power (TERMPWR).
If you want to enable TERMPWR, install the jumper across Pins 1 and 2
on this block are reserved and require no jumpering.
Step 3: Prepare the Mounting Bay
CAUTION: To avoid personal injury or damage to the computer system or tape drive, ensure the system is disconnected from the power supply while
you install the drive.
1. Assemble the necessary tools and materials:
- Phillips, flat blade, or Torx screwdriver, depending on your computer system
- The manuals for your system (for reference during installation)
2. Perform a normal system shutdown and unplug the system and any connected peripherals.
3. Remove the cover and/or front panel from the computer system, as described in its accompanying documentation.
4. If necessary, disconnect the SCSI cable or power cable from other devices to fit the tape drive into place. When you do this, make a note of their locations and
connections for correct reassembly.
5. Remove the front filler panel from a full-height, 5.25-inch bay of your system.
Step 4: Attach Mounting Hardware
If your system requires mounting brackets or other hardware to install the tape drive, mount them on the tape drive in this step. If your system does not require special
mounting hardware, proceed immediately to Step 5.
Step 5: Install the Tape Drive

4) on the TERMPWR jumper block. Remove the jumper to disable TERMPWR. Pins 3 and 4
