    2.1.1 Versions The DVR 440 Series models have 4 video channels and 4 alarm inputs; the DVR 480 Series models have 8 video channels and 4 alarm inputs. Both versions operate in a similar manner. The illustrations in this manual show the 4-channel version. The 8-channel version has 4 additional video channels and 4 additional alarm inputs.

    Introduction | en Installation environment 2.3.1 Mounting The DVR 440/480 Series is supplied as a desktop unit. 2.3.2 Ventilation Ensure that the location planned for the installation of the unit is well ventilated. Take note of the locations of the cooling vents in the unit's enclosure and ensure that they are not obstructed.

    Connect the ALARM OUT output (via the supplied terminal blocks). Connect a pan/tilt/zoom control unit to the RS-485 port (via the supplied terminal block).
