The compact power
adapter was disconnected. Could not safely remove the external hard
drive.
- While the camcorder was connected to an external hard drive, the camcorder'scompact
power adapter was disconnected and the connection was ended. Checkwhether data in the
hard drive was corrupted.

- This message appearson the screen of the Wi-Fi device. Multiple Wi-Fi devices are trying to
connect with the camcorder. Makesure only one Wi-Fi device is trying to connect and then
touch Retry.
IP address conflict
- Changethe camcorder's IP address to avoid any conflict with devices connectedto the same
network. Alternatively, changethe IP address of the conflicting device.
Memory card cover is open
- The memory card coverwas openedwhile the memory cardwas being accessed.Stop the
Wi-Fifunction in use and end the Wi-Fi connection.
Multiple access points detected. Trythe operation again.
- Thereare multiple accesspoints sending out a WPSsignalat the same time. Try the operation
again later or perform setup using the [WPS:PINCode] or [Searchfor Access Points] option
(_ 137).
No access points found
- The accesspoint set in the camcorder could not be found.
- Cordlessphones, microwaveovens, refrigerators and other appliances may interfere with the
wireless signal. Try using the camcorder in a locationfarther away from such appliances.
- Makesure that you use the accesspoint's SSIDfor the camcorder's Wi-Fi settings (_ 139).
- If the access point is using MAC address filtering, enter the camcorder's MAC address in the
accesspoint's configuration screen.
Unable to access configuration files
- Turnoff the camcorder.After a short while, turn it on again. If the problem persists contact a
CanonServiceCenter.
Unable to complete WPS.Try the operation again.
- Somewireless routers require pressingand holding the Wi-Fi ProtectedSetup (WPS)button.
Fordetails, refer to the instruction manual of your wireless router.
- Makesure to touch [OK] on the camcorder'sscreen within 2 minutes of activating the Wi-Fi
ProtectedSetupsignal on the wireless router, whether by pressingthe button or by entering
the PINcode.
